Light in the Attic

You bought a house with 3 floors and bad wiring. On the first floor there are three switches. 2 do absolutely nothing. 1 turns on a light bulb on the third floor, which in no way can be seen from the first floor. You may flip any number of switches as many times as you want. How do you find out which switch works the light bulb in only one trip up?
